I finally got around to ordering my new clutch and flywheel for the Jeep just in time for a cold wave. I really need a lot more light and a lot more heat in order for this not to be a miserable job.

I ended up replacing a CV shaft in freezing cold weather.
It had to be done, and I’m never going to do it again.

Even just one of these does a decent job of knocking off the chill.

The one time I did extended car work in freezing temps was replacing the left side of my exhaust. I ended up smashing a fingernail really hard, but didn’t realize due to numbness. A couple weeks later the nail had to be removed, which was one of the more painful things I’ve ever had done.

At least you have a decent garage to work in. If you had to do it in the driveway, I’d say fuck it and wait for spring.
